Doyle helps open Molineux's Century Lounge

Wolves’ on-loan midfielder Tommy Doyle has praised the refurbished accessible lounge in the Stan Cullis Stand which is offering fans a better matchday experience.

Doyle, enjoying an impressive season, attended the official opening of the revamped facility – the Century Lounge - which has made possible thanks to the Premier League Fans Fund, which provides grants to support football clubs at all levels of the game to strengthen links with the community.

The improved Wolves Foundation facility not only offers a stylish and comfortable experience for the club’s disabled supporters on a matchday but will allow them to use it for more of their project delivery during the week.

Doyle was impressed with his first viewing, during which he also met players from Wolves Disability FC and some of the club’s supporters who will access the lounge.

“It was really good to meet everyone and to see the space,” he said.

“It’s great for the club and makes everybody comfortable coming to games and is a nice, safe area which is brilliant.

“I think you can see the smiles on everybody’s faces in there – and they’re all amazing people.

“You can see how much the club means to them and what they do to get to games when sometimes it’s very difficult.

“So, for them to have a space where they feel comfortable is a massive thing and hopefully, we can keep performing, give them wins and keep them smiling.”

The revamped facility has been renamed as the Century Lounge in tribute to legendary cricketer and pioneer Baroness Rachael Heyhoe Flint, the former club Vice-President who was involved with the early years of Wolves’ delivering work in the local community.

The Premier League Fans Fund, administered through the Premier League Charitable Fund, supports a range of fan-focused and fan-led projects, helping to foster a sense of belonging through meaningful engagement.

This includes schemes for under-represented groups, to further develop an inclusive and welcoming matchday experience for everyone.
