Why is sitting on the FAB important to you?

I feel it is important to be the voice of the average fan. We welcome having the opportunity to challenge and support the leaders at the club and hold them to account. It’s important that fans have the opportunity, within reason, to influence the strategic direction of the club. I have a close affinity to Wolverhampton and its local community and feel it’s important that the club understand the role it has to play within this community.

How long have you been a fan for?

Supporting Wolves, like many fans, is part of my family history and in the blood so it’s been over 50 years. My grandparents lived in Wolverhampton and my father instilled a love for the club from my childhood days. Growing up in the ‘70s, I have fantastic memories of Kenny Hibbitt and John Richards and would never be seen out of my Wolves Umbro tracksuit.

Favourite moment/moments as a Wolves fan?

The first game I attended was the 1980 League Cup final against Nottingham Forest. It was the first game my dad had taken me to, and I can remember the drive down with all the coaches on the motorway vividly. The game itself is a bit of a blur, but I can remember Andy Gray putting the ball past Shilton and the amazing feeling it brought to all us fans.

Why is sitting on the FAB important to you?

I believe that consultation and involvement are a key part of the relationship between supporters and the football club, particularly one with such deep community history and roots as Wolves. I see our role as a critical friend and look to create solutions for the good of my fellow fans, the club and the community. We have a duty to challenge the club about its decisions, strategy and direction but to do so in the spirit of collaboration – we all want to see success.

How long have you been a fan for?

My dad took me to my first Wolves game in 1999, when I was seven. We beat Port Vale 3-1 and Keith Curle scored a late penalty. I can remember the noise inside the stadium, the crowd whilst walking to Molineux. I’ve been hooked ever since.

Favourite moments as a Wolves fan?

The FA Cup quarter final against Manchester United in 2019 stands out. It was such an incredible atmosphere, and the team delivered on such a big occasion. Aside from that, I’ve seen us promoted four times, each one was special in different ways.

Matchdays for me are all about family time: It enables us to reconnect with dad and friends we’ve met over time on the terraces.
