For the second season running, Wolves under-18s will host Blackburn Rovers in their opening game of the 2024/25 U18 Premier League campaign.
The Old Gold were scheduled to travel to holders Manchester United on the opening day, but will now start their season one week later at Compton Park on Saturday 24th August due to fixture commitments for United elsewhere.
It was a record-breaking year for the group last time out, with Wolves finishing third in the league table, only behind eventual champions Manchester United and Manchester City in Richard Walker’s first season in charge.
Wolves also reached the final of the U17 Premier League Cup before losing out by three goals to one against Chelsea at Molineux.
Like last season, Rovers are the first opponents for Wolves after the two sides met on the opening day in 2023/24, with the game ending in a 1-1 draw thanks to a Caden Voice equaliser six minutes from time.
The rescheduled game at Man Utd will take place in early December while Liverpool are the hosts shortly before Christmas, before Walker’s side welcome Manchester City on Saturday 11th January following the turn of the New Year.
Wolves complete their league schedule at home to Sunderland on Tuesday 15th April, before travelling to Leeds United on the final day of the season a week and a half later.
