How will bus services be affected?

All bus services that usually run along Waterloo Road between Five Ways Island and Newhampton Road (including services that turn around in Jack Hayward Way) will be diverted along Stafford Street (in both directions) for a period commencing 90 minutes before the start of a Wolves home match.  This will continue throughout the duration of the game until clearance is given at the end of the match to re-open the roads and return to normal routes.

All diverted services will use the existing bus stops on the section of Stafford Street between Five Ways Island and the Ring Road.

Services 3, 4, 62 and 62a  will continue into the city centre via the inner ring road section of Stafford Street.  The 5 and 5A will be diverted via Stafford Street, Ring Road St Peters and St Andrews, Chapel Ash Island and Darlington Street to continue into the city centre.

Will the turnstiles be open any earlier?

No. The turnstiles will continue to be opened 90 minutes before kick off.

How do these changes affect the media?

Only in terms of those visiting media officers or other broadcasters who are given a parking spot.  Those arrangements are detailed in the answers above depending on which car park.

What is happening to areas where fans are normally dropped off, in Waterloo Road or on Molineux Street?

This will no longer be available once the roads are closed.  Supporters will need to find alternative locations to be dropped off outside of the road closure zone.

Is street parking still available around Molineux?

Waterloo Road, Camp Street, Whitmore Hill and parts of Sir Jack Hayward Way and Molineux Street will have no stopping/parking restrictions in place. This will apply to all road users.   Please note that illegally parked vehicles will be towed away at the owner’s expense, and the release fee is £150. There will be no new restrictions on the section of Sir Jack Hayward way leading to Asda nor in North Road, Red Hill Street and Oxley Street.

What arrangements are in place for disabled supporters to park and access the stadium?

Access to our accessible parking will be maintained via the Stan Cullis car park as per the information detailed above. We currently have an allocation of parking for disabled supporters in line with current recommendations.  However these are currently all booked out.

In order to try and alleviate some of the issues experienced by our supporters, we are trialing the use of the Wanderer car park as blue badge holder car park.

Availability will be on a first come first served basis, booked via the ticket office on 0871 222 1877, please note that there will be a £5 charge.

The criteria being that the supporter will be need be a Wolves DSA member and will have to provide their blue badge serial number to register for a pass, the blue badge would then need to be displayed alongside the pass on the day.

Also please note that as access is via Molineux Street, vehicles will need to be in place prior to the road closure being implemented one hour before kick-off.

In addition to this, blue badge holders will still be permitted to park on the double yellow lines in North Road, Red Hill Street and Oxley Street.

Dennis Green, of the DSA, said: “This is an example of the Wolves DSA working in partnership with Wolves FC to achieve this measure for Wolves disabled supporters.”

I have already purchased a seasonal car park pass from the Ticket Office but no longer wish to use it given the new restrictions.

Given the change in circumstances, refunds will be issued for supporters no longer wishing to keep their seasonal passes based on the proportion of the games it has already been used for.  This relates to seasonal passes purchased from the Ticket Office only.

What happens if there is an emergency and I need to the leave the stadium before the end of the match?

Unfortunately there are no exceptions within the boundary of the closures to the new measures. Anyone who has parked within the area will be unable to move vehicles until the roads are re-opened after the game.

What happens if I have a car parking spot but arrive after the roads are closed?

Unfortunately you will not be allowed entrance and will have to find alternative arrangements for parking your vehicle outside of the closure zone.

How are the team coaches going to get to Molineux with the roads closed?

The team coaches will be granted entrance and will be escorted through the closures to the stadium. The only vehicles that will be able to gain access through the closures will be emergency vehicles if required.

Will these closures also come into force for midweek fixtures?

Yes they will.  The closures will apply at the same times in advance of all Wolves’ first team fixtures - league and cup.

What is happening with Asda?

Asda are fully aware of the closures. The store is to remain open but access will only be via Sir Jack Hayward Way from the A449.

What is happening with Ring and Ride?

We have been in contact with the Ring and Ride area manager and they are aware of the new arrangements and where they can pick up and drop off their passengers.

Information for away clubs

Coach parking facilities remain at Faulkland Street and there are no drop off facilities for general supporter coaches at the stadium. For coaches carrying disabled supporters there are limited options but arrangements must be made in advance.  Please contact us on 0871 222 1877 or email ticketoffice@wolves.co.uk.  Visiting fans are advised to allow plenty of time for travel to the game bearing in mind the road closures that will be in place.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE TIMINGS AND ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE SPECTATOR SAFETY MEASURES WILL REMAIN UNDER CONSTANT REVIEW AND MAY BE AMENDED IN FUTURE. ANY ALTERATIONS TO THESE WILL BE COMMUNICATED IN ADVANCE.

FANS ARE ALWAYS ADVISED TO ARRIVE AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE FOR HOME GAMES AT MOLINEUX, PARTICULARLY WITH THE NEW ROAD CLOSURES.
