On Thursday 16th September 40 members from the Wolves Disabled Supporters Association attend Monmore Dogs for a packed evening programme of greyhound racing.
On the night, the members also enjoyed a three-course meal in the restaurant, which had a varied menu to cover all tastes.
Not only was the racing and food good, there were many waiters and waitresses serving drinks to the tables, and also other staff taking bets at tables – this was ideal for the members in wheelchairs and the less mobile.
Race eight was sponsored by the Wolves DSA and some members were able to present the trophy to the winning dog.
The race winner was dog number six – Blue Suede Shoes, and the members were able to briefly meet the dog, the dog’s owner and the dog’s trainer.
The feedback from the evening was that everyone enjoyed the food and the atmosphere and Wolves DSA will certainly look to do this again.
