Neves Named Player Of The Season 2017/18

Ruben Neves picked up the Wolves Player of the Season award for 2017/18 after an unbelievable first campaign at Molineux.

The midfielder has been instrumental to Wolves’ success, displaying a wide range of passing, ability to control matches and an eye for a spectacular goal.

Neves scored six brilliant goals across the campaign, including the Goal of the Season winner against Derby County in April.

His stunning strike at Hull City started his campaign on the front foot and brilliant goals against Sheffield United and Cardiff City helped bring the Championship trophy to Molineux.

The Portuguese international, alongside either Romain Saiss or Alfred N’Diaye, missed just four Championship matches in this title-winning campaign.

Neves was welcomed onto the stage at Telford International Centre by a standing ovation to collect his award, which added to his Players’ Player of the Season and Goal of the Season honours.

Also up for the award were Conor Coady and Matt Doherty, who came second and third in the voting respectively after brilliant seasons in gold and black.
