Joao Moutinho came off the bench on 73 minutes, with Portugal trailing 1-0 on Wednesday evening, and played his part in a dramatic fightback, which saw Cristiano Ronaldo score twice at the death to earn victory. Ruben Neves and Nelson Semedo were unused substitutes at the Estadio Algarve.

With Spain trailing to Sweden, Adama Traore was given the final 26 minutes off the bench in Stockholm. The Spaniards have work to do to qualify for Qatar automatically, currently trailing the Swedes by two points, with an extra game played.
Leander Dendoncker | Estonia 2-5 Belgium
Leander Dendoncker also came off the bench for the final seven minutes of Belgium’s victory in Estonia on Thursday evening, replacing Toby Alderweireld. The victory, which saw Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku hit two, left Belgium top of the group on ten points, ahead of Czech Republic.

New Wolves attacker Hee Chan Hwang was also in action on Thursday evening, coming on with 21 minutes to go of South Korea's World Cup qualifier against Iran.

Conor Coady was an used substitute as England cruised to a 4-0 win in Hungary on Thursday. The Three Lions have taken maximum points from their first four games and Coady will be hoping for minutes when they go again against Andorra on Sunday.
