Following a lap of appreciation on the pitch for both the men’s and women’s first-teams, the End of Season Awards were presented, with five prizes handed out in front of supporters.
Those fans voted Sa for the top award following an impressive first season in English football, where he claimed 11 Premier League clean sheets – the sixth best in the division and produced countless top saves.
The stopper, who joined from Olympiacos last summer, was also acknowledged by his own team mates by being named Royal Caribbean Players’ Player of the Season, following a brilliant campaign between the sticks.
After receiving his award, Sa said on the Molineux Pitch: “I just want to thank you to everyone who voted for me and also my team mates, who helped me to win this award.”
And finally, the 2021/22 Player of the Season, voted by supporters.

Luke Cundle was also a winner, taking home the University of Wolverhampton Academy Player of the Season, having broke through from the under-23s to the first-team, where he’s played five times, most recently against Manchester City on Wednesday.
Wolves Women also paraded the Birmingham County Cup trophy around Molineux, and Tammi George was named Energy Angels Women’s Player of the Season amidst the celebrations.
