Wolves have confirmed their squad of players who will be representing the club at the inaugural TST tournament in the US next month.
With more than 720 combined appearances in gold and black, nine players who have turned out for the club in the Premier League, Championship and League One will be taking to the field in North Carolina in early June.
Richard Stearman, Scott Golbourne, Adlene Guedioura, Bakary Sako and Stephen Hunt are among the legends set to be part of the Wolves team for the competition, which will see the winning club claim $1 million.
They will be joined by Leon Clarke, Harry Burgoyne and Zeli Ismail – all three players were products of the Wolves Academy who went on to represent the club at first-team level before having stellar careers in the Football League.
Prince Oniangue and former England striker Darius Vassell – who has spent his post-playing career coaching the future Old Gold attacking talents at Compton Park – complete the line-up of ten pros who will be aiming to claim the prize for Wolves.
The team will be led by Wolves’ head of player development Darren Ryan and ably assisted by fan favourite and Championship-winning right-back Kevin Foley.
Also representing Wolves will be winners of Golden Chance, a once-in-a-lifetime talent search ran by the club in Phoenix, Arizona, and Chicago, Illinois, which offers young aspiring players from America the opportunity to train and play at an elite level.
Wolves will be competing with 31 other teams from across the world – including Borussia Dortmund, West Ham United, Wrexham, Como 1907 and Hapoel Tel Aviv – who will come together for the inaugural edition of the competition for the chance to claim the $1 million prize pot.
Ryan’s side have been drawn in Group B, with fixtures against Villita FC on Thursday 1st June (2.15pm BST kick-off) and Blade & Grass FC – featuring the likes of former Premier League players Geoff Cameron, Emile Heskey, Stephen Ireland and Oumar Niasse – at 10pm BST later that day.
The group stages close for Wolves at 2.30pm BST on Friday 2nd June as they face DMV Diplomats, where the top two teams will progress to the knockout stage, which concludes with the final on Sunday 4th June.
All TST fixtures will be available to watch live, with stream information to be announced in due course.
