The latest edition of Wolves Express, the club's regular bitesize podcast, hears from pathways manager Steve Davis about his new role and his recent visit to Cincinnati to watch Yerson Mosquera up close.
On Wednesday's episode, Davis delves into the role he established following his stint as interim first-team head coach last season which sees him help bridge the gap between the under-21s and first-team as he supports the development of Wolves' young stars.
As part of his role, which sees the former under-18 boss support the players who are currently out on loan, whether that's in the UK or further afield, Davis has also recently been out to the US to watch defender Mosquera shine for MLS side FC Cincinnati.
Mosquera has been a key part of the team's back line this season, as Cincinnati claimed the Eastern Conference title and Supporters' Shield, and Davis feels the loan move could not have gone any better for the centre-back, who will return to Compton Park at the end of the year, where he will get a chance to impress head coach Gary O'Neil before a decision is taken on his next steps in January.
Finishing off the latest episode is under-21 defender Kam Kandola who opened the scoring in Wolves' Premier League International Cup victory over reigning champions PSV Eindhoven at Molineux on Monday night. The centre-back talks about what it was like to score for his boyhood club in front of the South Bank as well as starting their campaign off with a win.
Released three times a week – every Monday, Wednesday and Friday – Wolves Express is packed with news, updates and exclusive interviews on both the playing and non-playing side of the club, complementing other offerings of Wolves Weekly and Matchday Live Extra.
