With a second visit to Brentford in less than a fortnight coming up on Friday evening, Wolves Express previews the FA Cup third round tie with Gary O'Neil and Tommy Doyle.
The latest episode of club's official bitesize podcast looks ahead to a first FA Cup outing under O'Neil with Wolves aiming to replicate the 4-1 win they achieved over the Bees in the Premier League recently.
Ahead of kick-off, the head coach has spoken about taking the competition seriously as the Old Gold aim to make it into the fourth round of the cup and stresses that the change of competition won't change his approach to the match, insisting there would be 'no rotation', despite missing Hee Chan Hwang, Boubacar Traore, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Mario Lemina.
O'Neil also explains the club's situation heading into the January transfer market after the window opened earlier this week, including admitting there is interest in striker Sasa Kalajdzic from other clubs in Europe, as well as how Wolves have been left a little short up front, especially with the absence of Hwang throughout January.
Hwang himself also features on the podcast as he spoke exclusively to Mark Ridgway before jetting off to the Asian Cup earlier this week, where he will be representing South Korea. The forward is in confident mood ahead of the competition which Korea have not won for almost 65 years, and insists he will still be cheering on Wolves when he's halfway around the world this month.
With Lemina still absent on compassionate leave following his father's passing, Doyle is expected to be back in the line-up for Friday evening's clash and he explained how the players stepped up to honour his fellow midfielder against Everton on Saturday and how they will have to do the same again for the FA Cup visit to Brentford.
Released three times a week – every Monday, Wednesday and Friday – Wolves Express is packed with news, updates and exclusive interviews on both the playing and non-playing side of the club, complementing other offerings of Wolves Weekly and Matchday Live Extra.
