Gary O'Neil, Matheus Cunha and Tommy Doyle look back on Saturday's draw with Nottingham Forest on the latest episode of Wolves Express with the trio believing the team should be proud of what they're achieving with a patched-up squad.
Despite Cunha putting his team ahead with a stunning solo effort before the break for Wolves, the side were forced to come from behind against Forest when they conceded either side of half-time, before Cunha netted his second of the afternoon to bundle the ball home from close range.
And O'Neil was pleased with the fight his players are showing under the difficult circumstances the squad currently finds itself under with injury and tiredness affecting his players as they head into the final stretch of a tough campaign, while revealing defender Craig Dawson will require surgery on a groin problem.
The podcast also hears from the goalscorer who expresses his delight at being able to bag a brace on his first start since returning from his own hamstring injury which has kept him out since February, and whether he thought he would find the net with his opening goal when he first picked up the ball inside his own half.
There is also reaction from midfielder Doyle who admits the players are frustrated to have not left the City Ground with three points, but insists a point is not the worst result for the team.
Released three times a week – every Monday, Wednesday and Friday – Wolves Express is packed with news, updates and exclusive interviews on both the playing and non-playing side of the club, complementing other offerings of Wolves Weekly and Matchday Live Extra.
