Wolves Express | Doyle talks Euro glory as Portugal make winning start

The latest episode of the Wolves Express podcast is now available and features an in-depth chat with midfielder Tommy Doyle.

Doyle became Wolves' first signing of the 2024 summer with the announcement of his loan move from Manchester City to Molineux automatically becoming permanent on 1st July before he was followed by Portuguese wide-man Rodrigo Gomes last week.

But in the latest episode of Wolves' quickfire podcast, Doyle discusses what he was up to 12 months ago when he helped England lift the under-21 European Championship title in Georgia.

The midfielder talks about what it was like to miss a large chunk of the competition through an injury which also delayed his introduction to the Wolves team, but what it meant to him to lift the trophy after coming on in the final as the Three Lions overcame Spain.

With the senior Euros in full swing, listeners can hear how the Portuguese Old Gold trio got on against Czechia last night, while there is also a look at Wolves' Premier League fixtures, which were announced on Tuesday morning.

Finally, the podcast pays tribute to former goalkeeper Matija Sarkic who passed away on Saturday, aged just 26. The Montenegrin spent three seasons at Wolves as he developed from a youth keeper to a senior-ready stopper, before joining Millwall last summer.

During the summer, Wolves Express will still be packed with news, updates and exclusive interviews on both the playing and non-playing side of the club.
