Wolves Express | Reflecting on the weekend with O'Neil, McNamara and Walker

On Monday's episode of Wolves Express, head coaches of the men's and women's first-teams as well as the under-18s reflect on a weekend of mixed results for our Old Gold sides.

Following defeat for the men against Chelsea, and wins for the women and under-18s against Derby County and Blackburn Rovers respectively, listeners to the official quickfire podcast can hear the thoughts of Gary O'Neil, Andy Thompson, Jorgen Strand Larsen, Dan McNamara, Beth Roberts, Richard Walker and Conor McLeod in a jam-packed episode.

The episode begins with 'Thommo' giving his verdict on the 6-2 loss in which he felt individual mistakes were the issue to the team's defensive woes, Strand Larsen also discusses scoring his first goal, how the players are 'ashamed' of their performance and how the team will pick themselves up against Burnley on Wednesday evening, while O'Neil insists Wolves will learn from the defeat.

Wolves Women head coach McNamara also features on the podcast as he offers his thoughts on his side's 2-1 win over Derby at the weekend, which made it a 100 per cent start to the new campaign after the opening day victory over Stourbridge. Having fallen behind early on before going down to nine players, the women's first-team came out on top, and Roberts spoke about how she enjoyed her switch from full-back to winger against the Rams.

Finally, there is reaction to the under-18s thrilling season opener against Blackburn as Wolves claimed a 5-2 victory, and head coach Walker discusses the individual quality inside his squad, but how his players have all gelled as a team. While goalscorer McLeod - who bagged a brace on Saturday lunchtime - chats about how enjoyable it is to play in the U18s this season and what the campaign is likely to hold for him and his teammates.

Released three times a week – every Monday, Wednesday and Friday – Wolves Express is packed with news, updates and exclusive interviews on both the playing and non-playing side of the club, complementing other offerings of Wolves Weekly and Matchday Live Extra.
