Wolves Express | Head coach and captain on Newcastle loss

Wolves’ narrow defeat to Newcastle United is the topic of the week’s first Wolves Express episode.

Head coach Gary O’Neil is up first, discussing a performance of quality and effort, even if it failed to reward Wolves with any points.

His captain Mario Lemina also features. The midfielder scored Wolves’ goal on the day, but is speaking about a lack of luck, Newcastle’s two goals and the need to change the Old Gold’s mentality.

Watching in the press box was former full-backs Andy Thompson and Lee Naylor and they speak about the deadly nature of the Premier League, the need to kill games off and the risks which need to be taken in the final third.

Wolves Women were victorious however, beating Hull City 4-0, and head coach Dan McNamara speaks about following up last week’s Burnley win and how his side overcame the Tigers.

Finally, we hear an interview from 2018 with Tito Jackson, who sadly passed away recently. The Motown star had a special connection with Wolverhampton and Wolves, as he explains on the podcast.

Released three times a week – every Monday, Wednesday and Friday – Wolves Express is packed with news, updates and exclusive interviews on both the playing and non-playing side of the club, complementing other offerings of the Official Wolves Podcast and Matchday Live Extra.
