Wolves Express | Women's FA Cup reaction and Pond talks league debut

The latest episode of Wolves Express is now available and brings you all the reaction to Wolves Women's progression in the FA Cup while Alfie Pond explains how it felt to make his Premier League debut.

Booking their place in the third round of the Adobe Women's FA Cup for another year thanks to a 8-1 hammering of Black Country rivals Sporting Khalsa, Wolves Women goalscorer Amber Hughes gives her thoughts to the podcast.

Hughes, who opened the scoring at the SEAH Stadium on Sunday, before bagging Wolves' third of the afternoon was pleased with the way the goals came from all areas of the pitch, but she was less than happy to not finish the game with a clean sheet.

Manager Dan McNamara also features on the podcast as he praises the club's ground staff who fought against the weather to ensure the game went ahead as planned, as well as the younger members of his squad - such as Amelia Hiscox - who have showed they deserve a place in the first-team.

Following his Premier League debut at Fulham last weekend, the podcast also catches up with Alfie Pond for an exclusive chat, as the defender reveals how it felt to finally make his senior debut in Old Gold.

The under-21 captain has been training regularly with the first-team during the last few months and with the absences of Craig Dawson and Santi Bueno at Craven Cottage, Pond was pleased he was able to step up and gain experience in a Premier League fixture - albeit for just a few minutes in added time.

Released three times a week – every Monday, Wednesday and Friday – Wolves Express is packed with news, updates and exclusive interviews on both the playing and non-playing side of the club, complementing other offerings of the Official Wolves Podcast and Matchday Live Extra.
