Wolves Express | VAR and set-piece frustrations in West Ham defeat

With Wolves falling to a third defeat in a row away on Monday night, Wolves Express looks back at another difficult night against West Ham United.

Head coach Gary O’Neil was understandably frustrated at the final whistle, but he tried to be positive following the loss in east London which left Wolves with just nine points from their opening 15 matches.

O'Neil also reflected on the VAR decisions which went against his side on Monday evening, which the former Hammers midfielder described as 'straight-forward', as well as what the side needs to do to be better from set-pieces.

Matt Doherty, Wolves' goalscorer at the London Stadium, also features on the podcast as he gives his thoughts on the Old Gold's set-piece concerns after conceding their 15th goal from a dead ball this season and admits there will be some 'honest chats' before Saturday's home tie with Ipswich Town.

Finally, listeners can hear from Tommy Doyle as the midfielder shares his frustrations with results this season, as well as the VAR penalty decisions which did not go in Wolves' favour, but insists the players are still trying to give everything for the fans.

Released three times a week – every Monday, Wednesday and Friday – Wolves Express is packed with news, updates and exclusive interviews on both the playing and non-playing side of the club, complementing other offerings of the Official Wolves Podcast and Matchday Live Extra.
