Wolves Express | Deadline day signings after taking down Villa

The latest two episodes of Wolves Express are now available, as they reflect on the weekend's victory over Aston Villa, Matheus Cunha's new contract and two new deadline day arrivals.

Monday's episode of the club's official quickfire podcast begins with a chat with Matheus Cunha, who has put pen to paper on a new contract at Molineux which will keep him tied to the club until 2029.

The Brazilian discussed what signing the contract means to him, his connection with the Wolves supporters while also reflecting on the win against Villa on Saturday evening as the Old Gold ended their run of four consecutive top flight defeats against their local rivals.

Head coach Vitor Pereira also joins the podcast as he shares his thoughts on his side's performance in the 2-0 win under the Molineux lights, as he praises the performances and the determination of his players to get back to winning ways in the Premier League.

Pereira also reserved special praise for Jean-Ricner Bellegarde who stepped into midfield in the place of the suspended Joao Gomes before producing one of his best performances in gold and black and also opened the scoring. Legendary full-backs Andy Thompson and Lee Naylor also feature on the podcast as they back the head coach's assessment of the Frenchman.

The latest episode of the podcast - released on Tuesday instead of the usual Wednesday show - includes a first interview with new signing Marshall Munetsi who was part of a double deadline day swoop alongside defender Nasser Djiga.

Zimbabwe international midfielder Munetsi, who signed a three-and-a-half year deal from Ligue 1 side Reims, outlined what he hopes to achieve at Molineux, the thrill of being able to join a Premier League side and how he's delighted to be reunited with former Reims teammate Emmanuel Agbadou and international colleague Tawanda Chirewa in Old Gold.

Listeners can also hear from Dave Edwards as the former midfielder gives his thoughts on the new man in the middle of the park and what he expects Munetsi to add to Vitor Pereira's midfield options, while head of high performance Phil Hayward - who carried out Munetsi and Djiga's medicals in Paris on Monday - reveals just what goes into getting a medical completed on deadline day.

Released three times a week – every Monday, Wednesday and Friday – Wolves Express is packed with news, updates and exclusive interviews on both the playing and non-playing side of the club, complementing other offerings of the Official Wolves Podcast and Matchday Live Extra.
