Wolves have become the first Premier League club to launch an official presence on GKer, the user-generated content (UGC) platform operated by leading Chinese sports broadcaster Migu.
The partnership marks the latest step in Wolves’ digital expansion in China, as the club continues to pioneer innovative ways to connect with fans across the region. Through this collaboration, Wolves and Migu will explore new opportunities in digital content creation and interactive fan engagement.
Wolves have maintained a strong connection with Chinese fans for several years, including appearances in the Premier League Asia Trophy, an established presence across major Chinese social media platforms and successful esports teams in the region. The addition of GKer further enhances the club’s ability to engage with a digitally native audience through immersive, locally tailored content.
Li Li, vice chairman and general manager of Migu Video, said: “The participation of Wolves enriches the sports content ecosystem of GKer and we look forward to collaborating with Wolves to explore more cutting-edge interactive formats to provide sports fans with a more vibrant, interactive viewing experience and richer Premier League club content.”
As a leading sports broadcasting platform in China, Migu holds the rights to a wide range of global sporting events including the Premier League, FIFA World Cup, NBA, and the Olympic Games. Its GKer platform has quickly become a hub for content creators and fans alike, bringing together top-tier IP across sport, entertainment and culture.
Russell Jones, Wolves’ general manager for marketing and commercial growth, said: “China represents an important market in Wolves' international strategy. We're particularly delighted to partner with Migu and be the first Premier League club to launch an official account on this user-generated content platform. This initiative supports our ongoing commitment to developing our Chinese digital content reach and enhancing fan engagement through high quality content.”
