2023 was a great year for Wolves Esports as we became world champions, entered new esports titles, and competed at more major events than ever before.
Call of Duty Mobile
What a year for our Call of Duty Mobile team! They went from strength to strength as they were crowned the Call of Duty Mobile Masters Season 5 champions. Hungry for more the team then went on to secure the Fall Invitational trophy and ended the year winning the Call of Duty Mobile World Championship cementing their place as the best Call of Duty Mobile team in the world.
Valorant
Towards the end of the year we announced our entry into the Valorant China league. This came as a shock to many not familiar with Wolves but to our fans it was something they have come to expect from us – to be involved in some of the biggest and most competitive esports titles in the world. Valorant is a behemoth of an esport and is another huge step to proving Wolves as a powerhouse of esports talent on the global stage.
Honor of Kings
Widely regarded as one of the best Honor of Kings teams in the world expectations were high, and they didn’t disappoint. Claiming the King Pro League Spring Split title as well as becoming the Challenger Cup champions. The year ended with a fourth place finish at the world championship and, while the target was undoubtably to win, it was a respectable finish to a strong year.
Rainbow Six Siege
The team had another consistent year in Rainbow Six Siege qualifying for both the Copenhagen and Atlanta majors and, in turn, booking their spot at the Six Invitational (world championship) taking place in February 2024. With a fifth-place finish at the last Six Invitational the team will be looking to put in another strong performance and showcase just what this roster is capable of.
Identity V
After a shaky start to the year, and several roster changes, our Identity V team were crowned IVL Autumn Champions in December signalling they are back on the up in one of the first titles we stepped foot into and one we hold close to our hearts.
QQ Speed
We continued our dominance in QQ Speed as many have come to expect of this talented roster as the team won both the S League Spring and Fall splits to remain a force to be reckoned with.
Street Fighter
We took the fighting games community by surprise as we announced our entry into the Street Fighter League Europe. Shock quickly turned to excitement as the community soon realised what Wolves could bring to the table and, after recruiting a talented roster of players, we set out on our first foray into the fighting games scene in the form of Street Fighter 6.
Looking ahead to 2024
With a world title to defend, new titles in our sights and a world championship to compete in next month the quest to push the limits and showcase our talent and ability continues. Mix in the return of the ePremier League and our entry into Valorant, 2024 is guaranteed to provide more epic moments, produce new esports stars and the opportunity for even more silverware as the pack strives to reach new heights in esports.
