Wolves Esports and Sandwell College renew partnership for a further two seasons

Based in West Bromwich, Sandwell College currently offers two BTEC courses in esports and through this partnership they have access to the expertise and experience of the esports team at Wolves.

The courses cover a wide range of topics and professions within the esports industry such as:

-              Event organisation

-              Marketing

-              Broadcasting

-              Presentation

-              Health and wellbeing

-              Responsible gaming.

This renewed partnership ensures that students continue to benefit from exclusive opportunities such as stadium tours, interactions with professional teams, guest speaker events, and work experience placements.

Sandwell College further demonstrated its commitment to esports with investment in state-of-the-art facilities, including esports gaming rooms, editing suites, and enterprise pods, all of which support its two BTEC courses in esports.

Scott Thomas, Assistant Principal at Sandwell College, expressed his enthusiasm for the renewed collaboration: "Esports is not just a growing industry; it's a major part of the digital future for this generation. By continuing our partnership with one of the country's leading esports teams we are ensuring that our students have access to the latest industry insights and opportunities, equipping them with the skills needed to turn their passion into a profession. The employability skills they gain, including problem-solving, teamwork, organisation, digital skills, and analytics will serve them well in whichever path they choose after Sandwell College."

Claire Teng, Wolves Esports General Manager, said: “We are delighted to renew our partnership with Sandwell College.

“Here at Wolves Esports we are always looking to the future and nurture new talent and this partnership allows us to do that. Our experience with Sandwell College and its students in our first year was hugely positive and we are excited to be able to continue working with them going forward.”
