Wolves sign Chinese chess grandmaster

We are excited to announce that Yu Yangyi, a member of the Chinese Men's Chess Team, has joined Wolves Esports. A highly accomplished chess player, Yu has won two World Olympiad team titles, two World Team Chess Championship titles, and two Chinese Chess King Tournament championships.

Yu, a Grandmaster from Huangshi, Hubei Province, first gained recognition at the age of 8 in tournaments like the 'Li Chengzhi Cup.' He joined the Chinese national team at 11 and became a Grandmaster at 15, making history as the youngest male Grandmaster in China at the time.

Currently, Yu Yangyi ranks among the top players on the CCT international leaderboard. We look forward to his performance representing Wolves Esports in the Esports World Cup.
