Friday signals the start of a brand new Fantasy Premier League season and Wolves’ players are ready and waiting to be selected by managers.
The new season begins when Burnley host Manchester City on Friday, meaning the deadline for managers to confirm their squads is 6.30pm, 90 minutes before kick-off at Turf Moor.
An Old Gold selection is now waiting for managers and wolves.co.uk highlights five possible routes to FPL points via the men from Molineux.
Last year’s big earner | Jose Sa | £5m
No player in Wolves’ ranks earned more FPL points than Jose Sa last season, who claimed managers 148 points. The Portuguese, who bettered his first season’s total by two points, kept 11 clean sheets and saved two penalties to boost his figures. Sa also took home 18 bonus points across 2021/22 and, at £5m, is an affordable goalkeeper option for managers.
Getting attacking points | Matheus Cunha | £5.5m
For much of pre-season, Matheus Cunha has led the line for Wolves and could be in line for a successful FPL campaign. The Brazilian scored twice in his first half season at Molineux, contributing to his 39 total points. Priced at just £5.5m, managers will be looking at him as an attacking option, following his pre-season performances, which saw him bag against Vitoria SC, Blackpool and Celtic.

Clean sheet points | Maximilian Kilman | £4.5m
Like Sa, Kilman smashed the 100-point mark on FPL last season. The central defender looks set to be a regular once more this year and is priced at £4.5m going into Friday. Last season, Kilman claimed all 11 of the club’s clean sheet points and 12 via the bonus system.
Differential option | Matheus Nunes | £5m
Matheus Nunes has been selected by just 0.3% of managers but could be in for a strong second season at Molineux. The Portuguese claimed two assists against Stade Rennais on Saturday and also laid a cross on for Pedro Neto to net against FC Porto. Having claimed 80 points last season, Nunes will look for even more FPL points now he’s fully settled in the Premier League.
Out of position | Hee Chan Hwang | £5.5m
Players whose position changes at times, such as Hee Chan Hwang, can be crucial on FPL. The South Korea, who is often employed as a striker and will be in strong scoring positions, is categorised as a midfielder on FPL. Hwang scored against Stade Rennais and claimed three goals, as well as two assists last term, will be entitled to clean sheet points as a midfielder. He costs £5.5m currently.
Back on FPL | Matt Doherty | £4.5m
A popular pick on FPL during his initial stint at Molineux, Matt Doherty was often good for a goal or assist. Now back at Wolves, the Irishman will look to continue where he left off. Against Celtic, he won the penalty which Cunha converted, which would have been enough for an FPL assist. Doherty is priced at £4.5 and earned 35 FPL during the first half of the last campaign at Tottenham Hotspur.
Wolves’ full price list is as follows:
- £5.5m | Cunha, Neto, Silva, Podence, Hwang.
- £5m | Sa, Lemina, Sarabia, Gomes, Kalajdzic, Nunes.
- £4.5m | Kilman, Dawson, Semedo, Jonny, Toti, Ait-Nouri, Bueno, Doherty, Traore, Hodge.
- £4m | Bentley, King.
