FPL tips | Strand Larsen an in-form option

Fantasy Premier League managers must consider the earlier deadline when selecting their team this week.

By 6.30pm on Friday managers need to have selected their team and below wolves.co.uk has a selection of players managers may be considering from Brighton & Hove Albion versus Wolves.

The in-form option

Jorgen Strand Larsen | Round points: 9 | Cost: £5.5m | Total points: 34

Wolves attacker Jorgen Strand Larsen has now scored in consecutive Premier League games, so is an in-form man headed to Brighton & Hove Albion. The Norwegian’s goal against Manchester City earned him nine points, three of which were bonus points. He bagged in his last away outing at Brentford too, making it three goals for the season.

The Brighton link

Goncalo Guedes | Cost: £5.3m | Total points: 5

Wolves have already visited the Amex this season in the Carabao Cup, and on that occasion Goncalo Guedes was amongst the goals. It was his second goal against the Seagulls, having also bagged at Molineux back in November 2022. The Portuguese’s opportunities are continuing in the Premier League, so he may become an option to FPL managers if he can force his way into the starting eleven.

Brighton’s earner

Bart Verbruggen | Cost: £4.5m | Total points: 20

Despite Danny Welbeck scoring the winner, it was goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen who claimed the most points for the Seagulls last season. The stopper earned four clean sheet points, two save points and two bonus points. That was only his second clean sheet of the season so far, however.

Challenge option

Cole Palmer | Cost: £10.8m | Total points: 69

This week FPL Challenge players are searching for players with high numbers for key passes and crosses. That’s because both of those tallies earn players two additional points. With Bukayo Saka a doubt due to injury, managers will turn to second place for assists with Cole Palmer and Mohamed Salah next in line. Palmer has the more welcoming fixture so is likely to be a popular pick.
