FPL tips | Ait-Nouri's stock rising

According to Fantasy Premier League’s difficulty rating, Wolves have a more appealing run of fixtures ahead of them, and wolves.co.uk assesses the transfer options before Crystal Palace come to town.

The in-form option

Rayan Ait-Nouri | Round points: 6 | Cost: £4.6m | Total points: 29

Rayan Ait-Nouri is the top scoring defender in the Premier League this season and has bagged in three of his last four matches. The Algerian’s strike at Brighton & Hove Albion inspired the comeback, so he’s a man in form. His ownership is on the rise – now 6.5% – but with good reason, and should Wolves continue to play a back three, he’s afforded even more opportunities to get forward.

The Palace link

Matheus Cunha | Cost: £6.5m | Total points: 41

Matheus Cunha is not only a differential in form, but he enjoys playing against Crystal Palace. The Brazilian has scored three goals in his past five games, including the crucial equaliser at the Amex last weekend. He also scored home and away against the Eagles last season and looks set to once again lead the line with Jorgen Strand Larsen on Saturday evening.

Palace’s earner

Dean Henderson | Cost: £4.4m | Total points: 32

Palace’s top earner this season has been their goalkeeper. Dean Henderson moved top of their point earners after a clean sheet and impressive display against Tottenham Hotspur last time out. Costing just £4.4m, the England goalkeeper is a popular pick – he’s in 10.4% of teams – but Wolves have scored in each game since the opening day.

Challenge option

James Maddison | Cost: £7.6m | Total points: 45

This week’s FPL Challenge is named ‘Foul Play’ and sees player who are fouled this weekend earn extra points. On the flip side, fouls concede earn -1 points. Naturally, attacking players who earn free-kicks are appealing and James Maddison has 22 fouls this season, 2.9 per game, so may be drafted him for his home meeting with Aston Villa.
