Fantasy Premier League returns this weekend, and with the busy Christmas period ahead, managers are turning to wildcards, with a selection of options below relating to Fulham against Wolves.
The in-form option
Matheus Cunha | Round points: 12 | Cost: £6.8m | Total points: 59
In his past five gameweeks, Matheus Cunha has amassed 38 points thanks to his three goals and two assists. 12 of those points came last time out against Southampton, as he scored one and created another in the 2-0 win, earning him maximum bonus points. He scored at Craven Cottage last season so will be hoping history repeats itself on Saturday.

The Fulham link
Rayan Ait-Nouri | Cost: £4.7m | Total points: 36
Wolves beat Fulham in the pair’s last meeting back in March and Rayan Ait-Nouri was on target that day. The Algerian is proving a popular pick on FPL at the moment too, being selected by 13.2% of managers, owing to his licence to get forward for the Old Gold. Ait-Nouri costs £4.7m currently, but his price may rise before the weekend.
The Cottagers threat
Emile Smith Rowe | Cost: £5.7m | Total points: 54
Emile Smith Rowe’s move from Arsenal to Fulham appears to be exactly what the midfielder needed. He’s the Cottagers’ biggest earner so far on FPL with 54 points and gained 11 of them last time out against Crystal Palace where he opened the scoring. He’s been selected by 27.2% of managers heading into Saturday’s Craven Cottage showdown.
Challenge option
Danny Welbeck | Cost: £6.0m | Total points: 64
This week’s challenge is building a squad on a budget and Danny Welbeck is the cheapest option in this season’s total points chart. The 33-year-old enjoyed a run of four straight matches returning before last time out against Manchester City. Despite costing just £6m, the Brighton & Hove Albion man is the third most productive forward this term, behind Erling Haaland and Chris Wood. He faces AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.
