After two and a half weeks away, Premier League football is back as Wolves host West Ham United at Molineux, and wolves.co.uk previews the latest contest against the Hammers.
1 | Roll Call
Vitor Pereira said his international contingent have all returned to Compton Park fit, meaning he has no fresh injury problems to contend with. Jorgen Strand Larsen sat out of Norway duty as a precaution, after injuring his hand, but will be fit to face the Hammers. Matheus Cunha sits out the third of his four-match suspension. Other than the Brazilian, Pereira is only without the long-term absentees of Yerson Mosquera, Enso Gonzalez and Sasa Kalajdzic.
Graham Potter welcomes back German striker Niclas Fullkrug, after a three-month absence, and he’s likely to feature on the bench. However, Crysencio Summerville remains out with a thigh problem and Michail Antonio is out long-term. Vladimir Coufal missed the Hammers’ last five matches, but featured for the Czech Republic recently, so is expected to be involved.

3 | Journey to Tuesday
Wolves’ form ahead of the international break took a turn for the better, with Pereira’s side losing just once in the Premier League in their last four outings. A big win on the road against high flying Bournemouth, before a home draw versus Everton and a crucial 2-1 victory over Southampton at St Mary’s ahead of the international break has lifted Wolves nine points away from the danger zone. The Old Gold are now closer in the league standings to Tuesday evening’s opponents West Ham, Everton and 14th place Tottenham Hotspur than they are to 18th placed Ipswich Town, so three points against the Hammers will see eyes inside Molineux start to look up the table rather than down.
Tuesday evening’s clash at Molineux will see two different managers in the dugouts compared to the reverse fixture at the London Stadium back in December, with West Ham replacing former Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui with Graham Potter in January. Since then, the Hammers have claimed 11 points from their nine games under the ex-Brighton and Chelsea coach, including wins over Fulham, Leicester City and a stunning 1-0 victory away at Arsenal last month. However, West Ham have picked up just a point from their last two games, after following up a 1-0 loss at home to Newcastle United with a 1-1 draw away at Everton.

4 | Making history at Molineux
Wolves’ 2-0 win over West Ham United back in December 2019 saw the Old Gold go 10 Premier League games unbeaten for the first time in the club’s history. Leander Dendoncker and Patrick Cutrone struck either side of the break in what was a perfect team performance from Nuno Espirito Santo’s side. The Belgian put the hosts in front with his first Premier League goal of the 2019/20 season, diverting home Joao Moutinho’s corner, then the result was put beyond doubt in the closing stages when Cutrone fired home – just three minutes after coming off the bench as an 83rd minute substitute.
Wolves | Patricio, Doherty, Dendoncker, Coady, Saiss, Jonny, Neves, Moutinho, Traore (Bennett 89), Jota (Neto 72), Jimenez (Cutrone 83).
West Ham | Martin, Fredericks, Balbuena, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Snodgrass (Yarmolenko 62), Noble (Holland 71), Rice, Fornals, Anderson, Haller (Ajeti 80).
