The Head Coach has dismissed speculation in the media surrounding his future and insisted he and his staff remain intent on continuing the impressive start to the season, as Fulham check in at Molineux (7.45pm).
“When we joined Wolves in the summer, not only me but all my technical staff, we came with commitment and being ready for an important challenge,” said Nuno.
“It is a big challenge and perhaps one of the hardest challenges we have to face.
“Since the first day we have been working really hard on that.
“I ask my players every day they give us hard work and only one focus – the club – and what we want to build here.
“If I ask my players to do that, then it goes for me also.
“The only focus I have on my mind at the moment is the game tomorrow – nothing can distract from that.
“We are on the way of something really important, and we are in a good way too.
“We are doing things well and everyone is believing in the idea that it is possible to always look to grow and perform better and be more competitive.
“There is nothing more in my mind or in the mind of the players – tomorrow is our focus and nothing is more important than that.”
With all the changes that took place in the summer, including the arrival of Nuno, his staff and a string of new players, he says the shared focus on improving is all that matters.
“When you sign a contract you must respect that contract,” he added.
“Anyone who knows me personally knows what kind of man I am and what I believe.
“There are a lot of new players here and new staff and still new owners.
“It is a project that requires commitment and no distractions.
“Everything I say to my players applies to me as well.”
