Boly and Afobe follow Diogo Jota in turning successful loan spells in the Black Country into long term contracts, with all three becoming a part of Nuno’s squad for the 2018/19 Premier League campaign.
Larger than life Frenchman Boly signed for the club on a season long loan from FC Porto in July 2017, and went onto make 37 appearances in a blockbuster campaign in old gold.
Despite a serious hamstring injury keeping him out for two months in the early part of the season, Boly took to the demanding nature of the Championship effortlessly and ended the campaign in the PFA Championship Team of the Year.
Chipping in with three important goals, Boly became an important presence at both ends of the pitch, where his commanding aerial ability terrified defences and nullified attacks.
DR Congo international Afobe made a sensational deadline day return to Molineux in January 2018, re-joining the club where he scored 23 goals in a prolific 12 month spell between January 2015 and January 2016.
Signing from AFC Bournemouth after a frustrating start to the 2017/18 campaign, Afobe was given a terrific reception by all corners of the ground when he was introduced as a late substitute in the 3-0 win over Sheffield United.
It took a further five substitute appearances for the frontman to open his account with a spectacular strike against Leeds United at Elland Road, but Afobe more than played his part in historic title-winning campaign, finishing with six goals in 16 appearances.
All three players are set to join up with Nuno’s squad on Wednesday 27th June for the first day of pre-season training.
