Here is a useful guide for supporters heading to the capital for Wolves’ second Premier League away game of the campaign.
Home form
Manuel Pellegrini’s first home game as West Ham United manager resulted in defeat as AFC Bournemouth came from behind the claim three points last weekend. Marko Arnautovic’s penalty counted for nothing after Callum Wilson and Steve Cook responded. Last season, the Hammers won seven of their 19 Premier League games at the London Stadium, drawing and losing six apiece.
Last Wolves visit
Wolves have never played at the London Stadium and made their final trip to Upton Park in January 2016. Nikica Jelavic’s sublime strike six minutes from time settled this FA Cup third round tie as West Ham United progressed at Wolves’ expense. Kenny Jackett’s side rarely troubled Darren Randolph, while Carl Jenkinson also came close for the Hammers.
Away facilities
Wolves supporters will be given both the upper and lower tier of the South West area of the London Stadium. Wolves have been allocated 3,000 tickets for the fixture and those supporters will enjoy the fine facilities inside the London Stadium concourse. Turnstiles will open 90 minutes prior to kick-off with the visiting supporters accessing the stadium via Entrance D in the South West corner. Alcohol will be served before the match and during half-time with draft beers & deep ale pale available at Kiosk 29 and 30. All drinks are pre-poured and decanted into plastic cups.
Ticket collection
Any pre-arranged ticket collections for Wolves supporters will be available from the North Ticket Collection Office situated between turnstiles J and K. Supporters will need to provide photographic identification in order to collect their tickets.
Safety
West Ham will operate a 100 per cent person and 100 per cent bag search, with stewards using pat down methods and security wands where necessary. If supporters witness any anti-social, abusive or discriminatory behaviour they should report this to the nearest steward or, alternatively, by sending a text message to our SMS reporting service on 07860 404069. All messages are treated in the strictest confidence and the service is advertised on the big screens before and during the match.
Travelling by train
Supporters can travel to three railway stations, which are all a 10-15-minute walk away. Stratford, Stratford International and Hackney Wick Stations are all options. London Euston will be closed this weekend so most recommended routes from Wolverhampton station terminate at London Marylebone. Supporters are advised to check train times on the day.
Travelling by car
Supporters heading to the London Stadium by car are advised to take the M6, M1 and M25 into London. Take the M11 and the A106 will take you closer to the stadium. However, the London Stadium is a designated public transport venue, therefore parking is limited and residential parking rules are in place nearby on a matchday.
