The stopper first joined the club at the age of 12 after being spotted between the sticks for his local side Ludlow Town, before progressing through the ranks at Wolves Academy.
After being nominated for the 2014/15 Academy Player of the Season, Burgoyne was handed a professional contract in gold and black, undertaking loan spells at Lowestoft Town, Corby Town and AFC Telford United.
Returning to Wolves at the start of the 2016/17 season, Burgoyne earned a spot in the senior squad and made nine first-team appearances during the Championship campaign, with his EFL debut coming in the 4-4 thriller against Fulham at Molineux.
However, the goalkeeper’s most memorable appearance for Wolves came in January 2017, as the old gold secured a famous FA Cup fourth round victory over Liverpool at Anfield.
Further successful loan spells at Barnet, Plymouth Argyle and Falkirk followed for Burgoyne, who will now link up with his former Wolves team-mate Dave Edwards and ex-Wolves captain Sam Ricketts at Shrewsbury.
