The 19-year-old joins Wolves from K-League outfit Suwon Samsung Bluewings, where he enjoyed a breakthrough season during the past 12 months, making 24 appearances in the top-flight of Korean football and scoring six times.
A talented right winger at youth level with both his club and on the international stage, Jeong has impressed during his early years as a professional, progressing from Bluewings’ academy and into their first-team during 2020, which included two appearances in the AFC Champions League group stages.
As an international, Jeong found the net four times during ten combined appearances for South Korea’s under-16 and under-17s, before being handed his senior debut for the Taegeuk Warriors in June as he came off the bench in a World Cup qualifying clash with Sri Lanka.

Jeong marked his first appearance for his national team, where he played on the opposite wing to new Wolves teammate Hee Chan Hwang, by scoring South Korea’s fifth goal of the game, just five minutes after being introduced.
Following his move to Wolves, Jeong will get his first taste of European football and further his development in the Swiss Super League with Grasshoppers.
Scott Sellars, Wolves technical director, said: “Sang-bin is a young, raw talent, who has done very well for his club and national team whilst still only a teenager.
“We hope to provide him an opportunity to develop and grow as a player, and a person, in Zurich with Grasshoppers, before returning in the future.
“We’ve already seen how this process can benefit a player like Toti Gomes, and we are looking forward to seeing what Sang-bin can achieve in the Swiss league, and then at Wolves.”
