Goalkeeper Louie Moulden will spend the remainder of the current season on loan at League One Northampton Town.
Moulden, 22, has been recalled from his season-long loan with Rochdale, where he played every minute of their 28 National League games.
The shot-stopper leaves Dale seventh in the table and inside the play-off places having contributed with five clean sheets and a staggering six assists.
Now, Moulden will head out for his first loan in the EFL and to Northampton, who are currently ninth in the League One table and managed by Jon Brady.
On Moulden’s move to Northampton, pathways manager Steve Davis said: “It’s unusual to find a goalkeeper with six assists so he’s been picking out players with his kicking and although that’s one of his strengths, the way Rochdale play really suited him – playing out tight from the back under pressure has really helped him.
“He’s also made great saves. I watched him at games and he’s kept them in a lot of games making good saves. He’s had a really good loan spell and I think he just felt it was time to make that jump into League One. Jumping those two leagues is a great opportunity for him.
“Being in League One and in a great position just outside the play-offs, they’ll want to fulfil that and be in the play-offs at the end of the season. There’s pressure with that, but it’s a great opportunity for him and he deserves it because he’s had a great first half of the season with Rochdale. He’s proven that he can perform well consistently every week and be in a team that wants to play out – he’s developed that part of his game as well and that’s so important in the modern game.”
