Wolves have recorded back-to-back wins going into Saturday’s QPR test, with the same starting eleven starting both victories.
Douglas, a key cog of the Wolves machine at left wing-back, feels those victories can spur Wolves on for another three points.
“It’s clicked in the last few games which gives us confidence to know we can put our faith in the way that we play,” he said. “We’re enjoying our football. The best way to be successful is to be happy.
“The team breeds confidence by the way we’re playing and that was the big factor in me coming here because I knew we were going to be playing the way we are.
“We’re enjoying coming to training, buying into the Gaffer’s philosophy, working hard and obviously getting the results. We know we’re doing well but there’s not going to be a point where we get ahead of ourselves."
Wolves face one of just four teams to have beaten them this season on Saturday, with QPR taking the honours from the fixture at Loftus Road in October, but Douglas believes that result will have no impact this weekend.
“It was the same with Sheffield United last week, we won’t be thinking about the previous game and look for revenge, it’s another game we’ll prepare for. We’ll set up the way we want to play and hopefully get the three points.”
No Championship player has more assists than the Scot, who has claimed nine in the league so far and is pleased to be contributing where it matters.
“It’s something I try to have in my game. I probably enjoy assisting more than scoring, but as long as we get the three points, it doesn’t matter where they come from.
“The Gaffer keeps reiterating that it’s a squad game, it’s not just about the team that plays on a Saturday. Guys will be needed to come in and do their job, and everyone’s done that so far, which is why we’ve been successful.
“It can sometimes be difficult for the guys who aren’t playing but it keeps the boys who are on their toes, we can’t let our standards slip. You look at the last couple of games Alfred has come in and has been instrumental in the results.”
Douglas will be hoping everyone is pulling in the same direction once again on Saturday, as Wolves take on QPR in front of a full house at Molineux.
