Contributions from the likes of Ruben Neves and Diogo Jota have often stolen the headlines throughout what has been a memorable season, but Douglas reiterated the fact that every member of Nuno's squad has played their part in helping Wolves to the Premier League.
There is possibly no finer example of this than the Scottish full-back himself. After joining the club from Turkish side Konyaspor last summer, Douglas has been invaluable defensively and offensively, contributing four goals and a league-high of 14 assists.
He said: "Individually the guys have been great - you only have to look at the personal accolades and awards that the guys are up for, but overall as a squad we've been different class, and that's why we're where we are today.
"The individual talent within our squad is second to none - the guys are phenomenal, but collectively I think we've been excellent; the whole group. Everyone has stepped up when needed. We deserve this - we've been the best team in the league and it's no more than we deserve."
Douglas' fantastic form in gold and black this season has earned him his international debut as well as a host of plaudits, and he is now looking to finish off a terrific campaign by ensuring that Wolves are crowned champions.
"Words can't describe that feeling of hopefully playing in the Premier League next year," he continued. "We've had an incredible season, and the support has been incredible as well. We just need to go on and get the Championship trophy now."
