Doherty thinks that salvaging something from the Newcastle game was key in maintaining the feel-good factor at Molineux.
On the late equaliser
"It was so important that we didn't lose the game. You never want to lose a match, especially at home and especially with the kind of form we've been in lately.
"Even when time was running out, I always thought we were going to get one more chance and score. It obviously doesn't always happen like that, but that's the way things are going for us at the moment, and it always feels a bit better when you score late on like that."
On the performance
"I'm not sure on the stats, but we had a lot of chances and I don't think we deserved to lose the game. We didn't create anything massively clear-cut in the first half, but second half we created more chances and it felt like we were on top."
On Wolves' league position
"The table doesn't lie. We're there for a reason and I think we deserve to be there - we play some nice stuff and have been getting some good results, and when it's like that you can't wait for the next league game."
