The Mexican striker, who was visited by his friend and WWE wrestler Sin Cara during the week before the wrestler introduced the players onto the pitch at Molineux, played his part in putting his side on the brink of securing a seventh-place finish in the Premier League.
Following the match, Jimenez praised the support he has received from the Wolves fans since he arrived in the Black Country at the start of the season.
On the final game of the season at Molineux
“It’s always good to win these kinds of matches and it’s brilliant to finish the season like this.
“It’s been amazing, and I like being here very much. I’m very happy to be part of this history and I hope the next year can be the same or even better than this one.”
On possibility of finishing the season in seventh
“At the beginning of the season, maybe no-one felt that it’s going to happen this.
“But now, here we are, and we need Manchester City to beat Leicester, but this is our moment and we have to enjoy it.”
On the support of the Wolves fans
“All the supporters have been amazing throughout the season and I’m very proud of them. We are very happy for all the support, throughout the season, from these amazing people.
“I have no words to describe the songs they sing about me. When I was young I used to hear the fans singing the names of the other players in the stands. Now it’s my turn and I’m very happy for that.”
