It was decided that the winner of the contest between Nuno Espirito Santo’s men and the Armenian outfit will go up against one of those opponents following Monday afternoon’s draw for the Europa League play-off round.
The first leg of the play-off ties are scheduled to take place away on Thursday 22nd August, before the second legs on Thursday 29th August at either Molineux or the Republican Stadium.
Wolves and Pyunik were one of 26 ‘seeded’ teams in the play-off round draw which took place at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.
Ahead of the draw, all 26 teams which will take part in the ‘Main Path’ of the draw were divided into two groups of eight teams and one group of ten teams, with the ‘seeded’ teams to face one of the ‘unseeded’ sides.
Wolves and Pyunik were assigned a place in Group One, where they were drawn out to play the winner of the third qualifying round two-legged tie between Torino and Shakhtyor Soligorsk.
The first leg of both third qualifying round matches are scheduled to take place this Thursday, followed by the second legs next Thursday 15th August, which is when the either Wolves or Pyunik will discover which of the two teams they will be facing the following week.
Please remember, the dates of the fixtures, as well as possible fixture reversals regarding home and away teams for each leg, are still subject to change.
Any fixture changes will be announced on wolves.co.uk and across the club’s social media channels as soon as they are confirmed. With this in mind, supporters are urged to avoid making any travel or accommodation arrangements until that time.
