The League Managers Association’s panel, comprising of LMA chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Chris Hughton, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry, determined that Wolves’ performance at the Etihad was the most impressive across the weekend.
The experienced and highly distinguished panel assessed a combined total of over 6,500 competitive matches in professional football and took note of Wolves’ 2-0 victory in Manchester, which came courtesy of two Adama Traore goals.
Nuno dedicated the award to the Wolves chefs and canteen staff, who form a vital part of the group, and the head coach joined chef Sean Kyle and his team in accepting the award on Friday.
