Neves praises Wolves team ethic

Ruben Neves reiterated the importance of the whole team as Wolves secured a 2-0 Premier League victory over West Ham United at Molineux on Wednesday night.

Although delighted for Leander Dendoncker and Patrick Cutrone who got the goals for the men in gold and black, Neves knows Wolves have goalscorers throughout the squad and whoever finds the net does so for the benefit of the team.

On West Ham win

“It was a very good game for us. It was a hard game because West Ham have a great team, lots of quality, but I think we controlled the game from the start till the end.

“Even when they have the ball, we defended well. I can only remember the one chance for their team, so I think we controlled it, we played well, and we deserved the win.”

On the players’ efforts

“It’s always for the team. I’m really happy for Leander, for Rui, who had a good game as well, but it’s all about the team.

“I’m happy as well for Patrick, he deserved that goal and happy of course for the team. Any of us can score when we play like that.

“We are playing good, we are on good form and we want to keep on going. But now, we have to rest, because we have another game in three days.”

On maintaining unbeaten run

“That’s our job. That’s how we want to play – every single game to win, it doesn’t matter the opponent or the stadium.

“Like I said loads of times before, I’m grateful, but we don’t think about it – just go to the next game, try to play our football, try to win.”

On the Molineux support

“Our stadium, even when we play away from home, it’s unbelievable. We know what our fans are like, they are a player like us, they help us so much, so thank you to all of them as well.”
