The Mexican number nine, who scored with just under ten minutes remaining in the match with Wolves trailing 2-1 before providing the assist for Matt Doherty to secure the victory late on, was delighted to have completed two wins in one season against Manchester City.
On taking three points against City
“We always fight. Since the beginning, we had the ball, but the red card was another big thing for us. The penalties are something that happens in football, but I felt we came back well from that and we are very happy to win the game.”
On coming from behind for victory
“It’s never easy to come back from two goals, especially against a team like Manchester City, it’s difficult, but with our heart and our football, we knew this was a very good opportunity for us to win this game.
“It wasn’t a perfect match, but we played very well against a very good team in Manchester City. It’s difficult to win or even draw against them, but we’ve won both games.
“So, we are very excited, very happy, and we will enjoy this.”
On repeating the result against Liverpool on Sunday
“Why not? It will be a tough game, but we know that.”
