Traore: Missed chances the difference

Adama Traore insists Wolves will be working hard at being more clinical in front of goal after coming up short against Arsenal at Molineux.

Although opportunities to score came and went for the speedster and his teammates in Wolves’ first defeat in eight Premier League games, Traore knows that the difference between winning and losing is taking chances when they fall Wolves’ way.

On falling to the Gunners

“We fought until the end, we had a couple of chances, they scored, and I think we missed a few things in the game.

“We did have the chances and we didn’t score them, me personally, but it is what it is. We have to keep working and we will keep working so next time we have the chances we can put them in.

“I think it was a close game and although they had some chances, we had some chances as well in the first-half and the second-half, but the difference was they scored and we didn’t.”

On conceding a first goal in five matches

“Whatever happens in the game you have to fight until the end, you have to keep pushing, but, like I said, we still had some clear chances but they scored.

“This is the difference of what happened in the game. This happened, so next time we have to make sure with the chances we have to be more clinical.”

On first defeat in eight Premier League games

“There’s still five games to go. Personally, and what the team are thinking is game by game. We have a game in a few days’ time, so we have to focus on that and keep pushing.

“That is our mentality; we have to keep going.

“I had a chance one-v-one with the keeper and I didn’t score. But, like I say, we will keep working, we will be more clinical and this is the difference between the best teams – they have one chance or two chances and they score.

“This is how it is, but we have to keep working and we have to keep learning.”
