Cutrone makes final Wolves departure

Striker Patrick Cutrone has joined Italian Serie B side Como 1907, sealing a permanent move to his hometown club.

The 24-year-old joined Wolves in the summer of 2019, and although his gold and black career got off to a positive start with the Italian international scoring his first goal in just his second month as a Premier League player, Cutrone was unable to secure a regular place in Wolves’ starting line-up.

Midway through a first season in English football, which yielded three goals from 24 appearances in all competition, including 10 outings in the 2019/20 Europa League, Cutrone made his first return to Italy.

The forward joined Fiorentina in January 2020, before returning to Molineux a year later to add to the attacking options following Raul Jimenez’s injury. But just three weeks later, he made a six-month move to Valencia, before spending last season with Serie A club Empoli.

With eight goals to his name from 72 appearances during his time away, Cutrone now departs Molineux for the final time as he joins Como in the second tier of Italian football.

Everyone at Wolves wishes Patrick all the best for the future.
