International | Neves starts again for Portugal

Ruben Neves made his fifth successive start for Portugal on Tuesday night, as the international period came to a close for Wolves’ contingent.

The old gold skipper has started five of Portugal’s six Nations League fixtures this year, playing 89 minutes of their narrow 1-0 defeat to Spain this week.

Jose Sa, Matheus Nunes and Pedro Neto have also been away on Portugal duty but weren’t used against the Spaniards.

For the Republic of Ireland, defender Nathan Collins played the full 90 minutes of a dramatic win over Armenia, with Robbie Brady’s injury time penalty securing safety from relegation.

Montenegro also survived in their Nations League group, despite losing 2-0 to Finland on Monday evening, in a game Matija Sarkic watched from the bench.

Finally, South Korea and Hee Chan Hwang continued their preparations for the World Cup with a friendly victory over Cameroon, when the Wolves man played an hour up front.
