Wolves picked up a first point on the road since August in west London and were good value for it, having competed well with the Bees and scored a well-worked equaliser, courtesy of Ruben Neves. Although beaten by Ben Mee’s volley, Sa was well protected by the defence in front of him, and now wants the old gold to remain just as compact when returning to Molineux next weekend.
On working as a team
“I think we had a lot of chances to score, but we didn’t. We have to work like a team, fight like a team, in defence too – we have to be more compact and are working for this and have to keep going.
“For us, it was difficult, because Brentford have a good team. Sometimes I have pain in my wrist, of course, and I had to stop the game a little.”
On the Neves equaliser
“This is a strong point that we have. Ruben has an amazing shot. He already scored goals this season and he helped us to reach a point. For us, we are very happy with him, he’s an amazing player.”

On building on the point
“For us, we need wins, we want wins, but we didn’t lose and it’s important too.”
On Costa’s red card
“Sometimes it happens. We have to continue fighting and do our work but do better. This was a good game to bring confidence. Of course, we wanted to win, but we take one point.”
