Date confirmed for Carabao Cup meeting with Gillingham

A date has been set for new head coach Julen Lopetegui’s first match in charge of Wolves, as his side face Gillingham in the Carabao Cup fourth round.

Following their third round victory over Leeds United on Wednesday night, Wolves will host the Gills at Molineux on Tuesday 20th December, with a 7.45pm kick-off.

Taking place just two days after the World Cup final, the match will give supporters the first chance to see the new boss lead the side out ahead of a return to Premier League action on Boxing Day and a trip to Goodison Park to take on Everton.

Ticket information for the last 16 meeting with Gillingham – the first time the teams have met in a competitive fixture since Wolves were in League One back in 2014 – will be announced in due course.
