The Spaniard, who was named Player of the Match by Sky Sports, had a fine performance down the left, linking up with Matheus Nunes and providing a constant attacking outlet. He saw two of the three points slip away as the Cottagers fought back, but believed a point was the least Wolves deserved for the shift they put in in the capital.
On his post-match emotions
“It’s a mixture. Obviously, it’s a good point, but we wanted more. We want to win every game, but I think the team did really good things. We just have to keep going and hopefully we can get the win in the next one.”
Another point on the board.

On his and the team’s performance
“I think the first half was good, we really controlled it. The second half, I think we were defending a little bit more, but it’s just how the game went, we had to adapt.
“It was tough, but the team worked really hard and I found myself well. I’m just thinking about the next training session for the next game in three days.”
On ensuring a point was the minimum
“The second half was obviously really tough, the extra time, I didn’t know when it was going to finish. I think the team worked really hard and it’s a good point away, and we have to keep going for the next one.”
On another point to the target
“It’s a really important point, at a very hard stadium to play. We came with everything. We knew it was going to be tough, but the team is working really had. I’m very happy for the team, but it would have been a little bit nicer if we got the three points as well.”
