The Spaniard came off the bench at half-time and helped transform Wolves’ performance, working hard defensively, asking Tottenham questions in the final third and showing the composure to finish when it mattered. When Fraser Forster parried Raul Jimenez’s shot, Adama reacted to fire in off the underside of the crossbar for his third goal of season in all competitions and earn his side a big victory in the process.
On his thoughts on the performance
“We worked hard, we defended, we pressed, and I think we did what the gaffer wanted. In the end we have the result, happy for it and to help the team as best as possible. We keep improving and keep working.
“I think the team did an amazing job to defend, to keep the plan of the gaffer, we knew we had to dig in as a team against Spurs. We kept working and got the final result, so happy for the three points, and we keep working.”

On an impact off the bench
“I’m happy the team trusts me, the gaffer trusts me, and I have the spirit and ability where I can change the game. I try to help the team in every moment, whether it’s with quality in offensive or defensive ways.
“I have to keep working on this aspect [shooting], and I’ve been trying. I’m going to keep working, keep improving and keep helping the team. The last few games I’ve been trying to do good things. I’m trying to help the team with goals and assists and keep improving my game.”
On a big win to kick on from
“It’s massive. We know the Premier League is a hard competition, it’s a tough league, so we have to dig in.
“I believe in the plan of the gaffer. The result gives us happiness to go to the next game, but we know every game is a tough game in the Premier League. We’re happy today and when the gaffer starts working we think of the next game.”
On winning as a team
“Everyone on the pitch, Jose, the defenders, the midfielders, the attackers, the substitutes, everyone has been amazing. We worked hard, we believed in the plan of the gaffer and now we have the result.”
