Mario Lemina has targeted replicating Wolves’ impressive home form on the road ahead of a trip to Brighton & Hove Albion this weekend.
The midfielder played a starring role in another big victory at Molineux against Crystal Palace on Tuesday evening, when an early own goal was added to by a late Ruben Neves penalty. A clean sheet added to the mix ensured the three points were staying in the West Midlands, but with three away trips still on the calendar, Lemina wants Wolves to build on their win on the road.
On a huge win over Palace
“It was an important one. We are really happy, we worked really hard, and I think when you work hard like this, with this spirit, all the time you can win. I think we worked hard all together, and tonight is a great night for us.
“Three in a row at home, all the crowd is really happy, all the club is really happy, we are really happy because we’ve worked so hard during these few weeks. We wanted it and we’ve done it and it’s good for us.
“We are just pushing to win some games again, to make the crowd happy, to make the fans happy, that’s what we’re going to do, to try to build for the next year also.”
On keeping more clean sheets
“We try to always be strong behind. Three times in a row [clean sheets] at home is really important for us. The Gaffer’s going to pay at the restaurant, so that’s a really good thing.
“He really values them and for also it’s really important because we can see we’re strong at home. We need to do the same away, of course it’s not the same, it’s a different atmosphere but we need to be strong and to build something for the next year also.”

On making a fast start
“When you push hard with positivity and press high, this kind of luck comes with time. We really pushed hard in the first half, we wanted to control the game, and we did it. We were lucky with the goal but it was a good first half.”
On the crucial second from the spot
“He’s the captain, he knows what he’s doing, he’s good at it. Thank you to him.
“Ruben is a massive player for Wolverhampton, for the club, for us. He gives this positivity, this hard work all the time. He’s pushing us a lot and, of course, we are happy to see him back.”
On the crowd carrying the team through
“Honestly, they’re always like that at home. They’ve been pushing us so hard all the time. A big shout out for them and thank you very much. It’s a big, big emotion for us.
“We stopped playing in the second half, I don’t know why, maybe they put us under pressure. We can see that we have a strong team, can concede occasions, but after that we can have some counter attacks and that’s what we did with Pedro [Neto].”
On being inspired by Frazer
“He’s incredible. This kid is just incredible. He gives me so much positivity, so much belief in life and thank you to make me meet him. He’s crazy, two times in a row he predicted 2-0 and it happened. I want to see him every time.”
