Gary O’Neil has bolstered his support team with the arrival of Woody Dewar as first-team coach analyst.
Dewar, who has previously worked in the backroom teams at Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur, moves to Wolves on the back of a two-year period with Watford.
While at Vicarage Road, Dewar led the performance analyst team, studying opposition game and developing strategies, before delivering video and data analysis to the first-team coaching staff.
Having initially worked in youth football, Dewar first joined the professional game as performance analyst at Crystal Palace in 2014, working within the academy set-up, before moving to Manchester City.
In his two years in the north west, Dewar, who is fluent in French, was once again performance analyst within the academy, experiencing European football for the first time, and working with Phil Foden and Jadon Sancho, amongst others.
Then came a move to Tottenham, leading a team of analysts within the academy, before the step up to senior football arrived with Watford, where he moved to in June 2021 and remained until O’Neil welcomed the 32-year-old to Compton Park.
